A 5 minute walk from the Villa Reva, Tourrettes-sur-Loup is built on the foothills of the Gorges du Loup. It is a fortified village established on a rocky spur overlooking the French Riviera. Known throughout the world for the “Victoria” violet, cultivated since the end of the 19th century, every year a festival as fragrant as it is authentic is celebrated in honour of the violet. Gourdon, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Built on a rocky spur, at an altitude of 760 metres, the village overlooks the Vallée du Loup. Its incomparable panorama stretches over 80 km from Nice to Théoule. This isolated rock used to be a place of refuge and defence with a castle, from its location as a stronghold…Glassmakers, Perfumers, Confectioners now share the activities of the town also famous for its gingerbread !
Labelled Ville et Métiers d’Art since 1997 for the glass industry, Biot has become, in almost 60 years, the capital of contemporary glass in France. Making its specialty, bubble glass, Biot now has more than 80 artists and craftsmen, including 10 active glassmakers. At the same time, artists such as Fernand Léger made the town’s artistic reputation by setting up its national museum at the foot of the village. Today, the designers reveal their know-how to the public, all year round, in their workshops.
